OBITUARY

JAMES WILSON It is with extreme; regret that we record the death of Mr James Wilson, which took place at Westland Hospital last night at 10 o’clock, following ‘a seizure earlier in the day, while, engaged at work. The'deceased was a native of ißimu, and was a son of the late Mr Peter Wilson, of Brittan St.. He was employed for ; many years as a joiner at Messrs ißoss ; Bros’, factory in Revell Street, ..andsome years ago took up a farm property at Totara, Ross. For some time past ho has been working* at. Hokitilcai j the farm being carried on by a son. He was a member of the Hokitika Football Club for many years and an old member of the Hokitika Fire Brigade, acting as secretary for many years, till his removal to Ross. Of n quiet disposition, be made many friends who wilj deplore his sudden demise, and extend sympathy to the members of the family and relatives. His wife (nee Louise Ross) predeceased him some 2J years ago. He leaves a family of one daughter (Mrs R. Jones, of Ross), and three sons (Ross, Colin and Robert). There are four sisters (Mrs Isabella Park, and Misses Mary, Lilias and Florence Wilson, all of Hokitika), and three brothers (Andrew, in Palmer-1 ston North., William in Wellington, and George, in Masterton). Deceased was a charter member of the Hokitika Druids Lodge,
