DINOSAUR BONES

QUEENSLAND DISCOVERY. - BRISBANE, July 19. Ribs weighing over one hundredweight and other small parts of a mighty dinosaur which roamed the Darling Downs in prehistoric days have been given recently to the Queensland Aluseuin. Something akin,to a'scientific sensation was created in 1924 when the first fragments of a dinosaur, the first to be discovered in Australia, were unearthed at Durham Downs, Roma. Practically two tons of skeleton were recovered at that time, hut even this was but a portion of the complete skeleton. The latest parts to he discovered furnish an important contribution toward the completion of this monster’s skeleton, part of which has been on display at the Queensland Aluseuin-since it was first unearthed.
