From Our Correspondent. Mr and Mrs L. George, who contemplate taking up residence here, left last Monday on a visit to Hokitika. Messrs L. Gooch and Bullock were visitors last Wednesday. Mr H. Melville was among the passengers to arrive here last Thursday’ by Newmans bus. * Mr D. P. Stuart, manager of thi mill, is at present a visitor to Hokitika. Owing to inclement weather the meeting to he promoted by Mrs Gibb, of the Weheka Women’s Institute last Saturday has been postponed till a later date. The s.s. Gabriella is expected here on July 27, to load 250,000 super feet of white pine for Australia. The m.v. Hokitika sailed from Bruce Bay last Monday morning with 62,000 super feet of rimu for Wellington.
