One man who was asleep when the ship left the wharf, was. awakened by the hump when the ship hit the rocks. He is still suffering from severe shock. It appears fairly definite that the Abel Tasman was holed under the No. 2 hatch when she struck the submerged stein of the wrecked Ivaponga. HULK BREAKS AWAY WELLINGTON, July 19. The hulk Rosamond, which is oeing towed to Auckland by the Union Company’s Kalingo, broiie adrift at midnight on Saturday at the mouth of Cape Runaway. There was a heavy sea running. The Kalingo stood by, and sue hoped to get a fresh line to the Rosamond late this afternon, as the .sea had moderated. The vessels are eighteen miles off land and are in no danger. HIMATANGI SOLD.
