QUEST’S FOOT INJURY McGRATH MAY BE SUBSTITUTED (Received this day at 11.55 a.m.) LONDON, July'9. An X-ray of Quist’s ankle shows the ligament has been torn, or displaced. He was unable to-day to put his foot to tne ground. He received further treatment, but unless he [makes a remarkable recovery, lie will be until to play in to-morrow’s doubles, in which McGrath will probably be substituted. There is a faint hope that Quist will have sufficiently recovered ip play Henkel in the singles on Tuesday. If not, McGrath could be substituted if Quist is certified medically unfit.
