HUMAN KNOT

VICTIMS OF WRESTLING HOLD. WELLINGTON, June 13. The policeman at Lower Hutt wa3 urgently summoned last night to unravel a human .knot. Two well-known residents, both keen followers of wrestling, had experimented with Bromfield’s much-discussed octopus clamp, and guided by, diagrams and instructions, one man man tried to put the hold on the other. He succeeded, and then, to his horror, found he was unable to loosen it. For fully ten minutes he manoeuvred gingerly to his own discomfort and- the intense pain of the man on whom the hold was applied but without avail.

A member of the family was hastily despatched for the policeman f who soon had the clamp unloosened without damage to either party.
