Kwantung leader, General Chen Chi Tang to abandon military preparations, declaring China’s existence must not he gambled on momentary impulse. Independent action was useless. National salvation must be achieved by concerted efforts of the entire people. The opinion in Nanking doubts the sincerity of anti-Japanese jingoes of the Kivafigsi generals in view of their recent close association with Japan. Business is at a standstill in Canton.
