ANNIVERSARY TRIBUTES. (Per Press Association. —Copyright) WELLINGTON, June 10. y This afternoon, on the thirtieth an- v uiversary of the death of Richard John Seddon, Prime Minister of New Zealand from 1893 to 1906, members of his family placed a wreath on his statue in the grounds of Parliament Buildings, and many admirers paid their silent tribute during the day. The Prime Minister (Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) issued a statement to the Press paying a tribute to the late Mr Seddon, as a great statesman, whose memory would serve, he said, as an inspiration to New Zealand He said that the Government’s aim was not merely to carry on where Mr Seddon left off, but A to carry his humantarian and economic achievements to still greater heights, v He was confident that we were now ' ' toring on a similar period of economic T and social progress.
