WAR DEBTS
NO PAYMENT BY BRITAIN. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). WASHINGTON, June 8. Sir R.. Lindsay, British Ambassador, has formally notified the State Department that Britain will not make any war debt payment.
Other war debtors, excepting Finland, are expected to take similar action prior to June 15, the date on which debt payments are due. The instalment owned by Britain is 85,000,000 dollars, thus making her total arrears 688,000,000 dollars.
