WARM RECEPTION

PREMIER AT WAIKATO SHOW (Per Press Association.—Copyright; HAMILTON, May 27. The Prime Milliter, the Rt. Hon. M/ J. Savage, arrived in Hamilton to 'officially open the Waikato Winter Show’. He was accompanied by me Minister of Agriculture 1 (the Hon. Lee Mart-ill), am] several Members of Parliament. The Prime Minister was taken for a tour of Hamilton and district. He was much impressed" by the progress made. In the afternoon, Air Savage officially opened the exhibition in t(ie presence iof seven thousand people, this being Mr Savage’s first official function since assuming office. He was accorded an enthusiastic reception.

Speaking on farming conditions, the Prime Minister intimated that generally the Government is out to help the farming interests in every pos-sible-wav. He finished his speech by assuring the farming community and the people generally that the Labour Government will never let them down.
