The governors of Lincoln College have decided to postpone till next year the capping ceremony and laying of the foundation stone of the new demonstration theatre-, which was arranged for 'to-morrow.

'This announcement follows an incidjepit ycwifierning which members of the board held an inquiry at the college LGtiwotk. .Nothing was made public regarding .the affair, but it is freely stated a member of the staff had been assaulted by students. The annual college dinner was to have been held to-night, and the cupping ceremony, now postponed, was to have been held • to-morrow.
