NEW YORK. December 14

Jo e Louis, the negro boxer, continued his sensational ring career in Madison Square Garden to-night bj scoring a technical knock out against Paolino Uzcudun. t It was in the fourth round which had gone for two minutes thirty-two seconds, when the contest ended. it was a scheduled •fifteen round bout.

l'n bis thirteen years of fighting, it was the first, knock out suffered by the rugged Basque, Uzcudun. A record indoor crowd of 20,000 paid 128,000 dollars to see the phenomenal negro pound out another victory, bringing him so much closer to the heavy-weight championship. The bout was not particularly exciting, as actually most ol; the fighting was in the last fifteen seconds, before the referee stopped hostilities. In the first three rounds Louis angled for an opening, which he found in the fourth round, and he literally finished his opponent ivith a single blow. It was a terrific right to the jaw that toppled the Basque, and sent him flat to the floor with the whole left side of his face split. Nevertheless the' Basque heroically pulled himself to his feet, but Lquis then moved ,in, and he landed two more blows on his totally helpless opponent upon which the referee signalled the end of the fight. Uzcudun weighed 2071bs and Louis 2001bs.
