SHIP’S DESERTER

SWEDE TO BE DEPORTED. (Australian Press Association.) (Received this day at 10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, July 30. The acting Minister of - the Interior (Mr Hunter) stated Hjelmstrom, who deserted his ship in the Pacific, will not be sent to goal, but will be deported. The Swedish consul at Sydney has undertaken to see that Hjelmstrom is looked after until lie leaves the country and he will be brought to Sydney and placed under the care of the consul.
