Five golfers who enjoyed «a quietround of play at the Ridgewood Country Club in New Jerseys, ami were just preparing to drive from the eighth tee, when three masked bandits, armed wth pistols appeared. They came from some hushes along the fairway. r l hey held the golfers up.
The bandits instructed their five caddies to stand with their hacks to them, and then they collected 200 dollars from the' four players. The fifth attempted to save 75 dollars l>v throwing his wallet- in high grass, which so angered the bandits that one of them shot hnn, inflicted a painful, hut not a serious wound, in the thigh. , The bandits ran across the course to a nearby road and escaped in an automobile.
