I The New' South Wales Rugby Eniou has written to the New Zealand Union making a strong plea that the Maori team should agree to play the opening match of the Australian tour at New castle. At the Now Zealand Union meeting to-night, Mr S. S. Dean, said the New Zealand Union would have no objection to the Maoris playing a. match at Newcastle on their way hack from Queensland. The Maoris however, should not he asked to play more than two matches a week.
