ADDINGTON STOCK SALE. ■ (Per Press Association, Copyright). CHRISTCHURCH. June 26. At the Addington live stock sale today, there was a small offering of tat lambs the freezing works hav.ng closed. Competition was confined to lo.al butchers. However, the best grades were Is a bead firmer on late rates. Many light weights \\o:c among the entry. Lest heavy lambs sold to 26s 4d; prime 22s to 24s 6d; medium lbs tkl to 21s fid; light from 14s fid. There was a smaller yarding of mutton. Wethers and prime ewes wore scarce. The yarding was composed mostly of low grade ewes. 3 allies showed no quotable change. There was a light offering of store sheep. Good hoggets were firm, with keen competition. All grades of forward wethers were firm. Breeding ewes were also in demand. There was a larger offering in beef, mostly good steers. Owing to an oversupply, values were easier, especially for heavier grades. Quotations per hundred lbs., were; Prime heavy steers 18s to 20s; prime medium weight 20s to 235; medium quality Ills to IBs; best, heifers to 21s fid ; prime IBs to 20s; light from lfis best cows 17s to IPs', medium 15s to lfis; inferior from 12s. There was a small entry ol tat pigs. Best grade porkers sold readily. Inferior sorts were harder to quit. .Haeonors wore sl'gltly easier. Porkers fetched 24s fid to 30s fid; heavier 32s fid to 40s fid ; baConors 45s fid to 55s fid heavy 58s fid to £3 5s fid ; extre heavy to £3 15s fid.
