WELLINGTON, June »' Patrick Thomas Syren was u:.r.'vl .to-dav with recklessly'driving a motorear, and thereby causing the death of Norman Alexander Anderson. Sub-Inspector Carroll said the case arose out of an accident on .May 6, wben deceased was struck and crushed against a verandah post. Evidence is being given similar to that at the inquest, that the car seemed to have difficulty in turning a corner when proceeding fast, and did not stop after the accident. Scully, a civil servant, said he did not "think he had seen a ear travel as fast before on the streets of Wellington. Bond, another civil servant, gave his estimate of the speed at about 30 miles an hour. Bond said it appeared the driver was going to swp but he continued up Willis Street at a fast speed.
