PEACE GESTURE TO WESTRALIA. (Australian Press Association). PERTH, June 25. Eight Federal Ministers, accompanied by twenty-live officials, have arrived here to conduct the first T ederal Cabinet meeting . ever held at. Perth.
The acting-Prime Minister, Dr. Earle Page, replying to civic reception, said: “Wo have come, to Western Australia, on this occasion to try to learn where we may cure any tie-, foots that have unfortunately been apparent. W Astern Australia s progress since Federation mis , been phenomenal, and I have every confidence in its future.”
Dr. Page announced that lie is submitting m scheme for co-operation between the Commonwealth <and the States in the related activities conducted by tlie different Governments. It will be an expansion of the Loan Council principle. He is proposing the formation of councils consisting of the Ministers and Departmental heads controlling the different activities, in order to develop them on a national basis.
