AUCKLAND, May 30

Universal regret was expressed today at the death of Rabbi Goldstein. The Governor-General, in a message to the present Rabbi, the Rev. A. Astor, said he and Lady Galway had learned with profound sorrow of Rabbi Goldstein’s death, and conveyed their sincere condolence in the loss of an eminent and revqred leader,, whose services had been outstanding for more than half a century.

Tributes were also paid by representatives of all Christian denominations.
