, The Hon. G. W. Forbes and the Hon. J. G. Coates visited the Stock Exchange, and were permitted within the .market, a, privilege ordinarily most strictly limited to members. Operations were temporarily suspended, and members cheered the visitors.

Sir James and Miss Parr held a reception at the Mayfair Hotel in honour of Mr and Mr s Forbes and Mr and Mrs Coates.

The Hon. J. A. Lyons and Mrs Lyons, High Commissioners and 1 agents-general attended.
