TEACHER ON LOCAL BODY
AUCKLAND, May 15,
“There is no objection to teachers sitting on focal 'bodies as long as their duties do not interfere with the proper conduct of a school,” said the chairman (Mr Wells) of the Auckland Education Board to-day, when an inquiry was received regarding Miss A. J. Greville, infant missti’ess at Hikurangi school, who had been elected to the Whangarei Borough Council.
Other members of the Board mentioned instances of teachers occupying local body office.
