“AS HUSBANDS GO.”
Rachel Crothers j whose pen is responsble for such outstanding successes as “When Ladies Meet” and “Let Us Be Gav,” once again comes to the forefront with her latest endeavour, 1 As Husbands Go,” produced by Fox films, the picture will make its appearance at the Princess Theatre to-night. Warner Baxter’s starring role in the film is heralded as being his best and most s uave to date. It is also reported that the other members of the cast constitute an achievement in casting. Rachel ‘ Crotherj, has that rare knack of sketching her characters from lile and having them say things that everyone thinks. In “As Husbands Go,” she has written of a situation close to every home and every woman. On a pleasure jaunt in Paris a young wife and her middleaged friend find unexpected romance. Before the young wife informs the young Knglishmai'i she has beconip infatuated with, that she will secure a divorce from her husband. Upon, her return she is determined to tell her husband of her new love, but his charming sweetnqss is impossible for her to penetrate. The situation becomes more embarrassing when the lover arrives. I'lie husband welcomes him with open arms, and even when he discovers that he is the man his wife is in love with, he is determined to find out what sort of man lie is. The Englishman’s admiration for the husband becomes so great that he feels his presence is an injustice and so he departs. The young wife realising her mistake returns once more to the love of her husband. Also showing news, comedy
