MUTTON & LAMB
NEW ZEALAND OPPOSES LEVY. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received this day at 12 noon). LONDON, February 18. The “Sun Herald” says it is understood Canada, South Africa, and Southern Rhodesia have advised the British Government of their willingness to aoce£>fffli% levy on all meat. New Zealand’ will accept the levy on beef, but not on mutton and lamb, which necessitates a very heavy levy on beef, because mutton and lamb produce the revenue. This might not be acceptable to Australia.
