THROUGH WALKING BACKWARD.

AUCKLAND, February 8.
Evidence concerning th e fatal habit of a child in frequently desiring Jo walk backwards was given at an inquest into the death of William Gordon Alfred Rule, aged one year ana eleven months. The child received severe scalds through walking backwards into a bucket of boiling water on February 3, and its death occurred in Auckland Hospital two days later.
