SEQUEL TO JUMP FROM TRAIN

HAMILTON, February 8

Surprised in the act of hiding a stolen motor cycle in scrub beside Honehy Road, about five’ miles from Raglan, Herbert Harris Keith Maxfield, a fugitive from tbe pfllice for nearly a fortnight, was arrested by Constable Christianson, of Raglan, and his son shortly before noon to-dav.

The wanted man made a bolt for liberty when he saw the policeman, but was caught and overpowered after a brief scuffle. The arrest of Alaxfield concludes an extensive search, which had been in progress since an unknown man thought to he Alaxfield, jumped into the Wairoa River, near Tauranga from the Auckland-Taneatua express on Januarv 29. ;
