The .summer mooting of the Wellington Racing Club opened at Trentham to-day in fine weather. There was a very large attendance, including the Governor-General. The track was in first-class order ,and past-. The tote handled £44,361$- compared with .-£43,(503 last Anniversary Day, an increase; of £7595. An inquiry was held alter the Telegi'aph Handicap into al!eg(‘d interference at the false rail to Diatomoiis and Princess Doreen, and was adjoined till Thursday. Results: — Wellington Cup—l-1 Vintage 1, 3-5 Cuddle 2, (5-0 Spiral 3. Won by two lengths; four. Red Manfred was fourth. Time 2.305. Ruapehu Handicap—3-4 Dean Gallant.' 1, 14-15 Epris 2. 8-8 State Rank 3. Won by a head ; a neck. Moonbeam was fourth. Time 1.12-$-. Telegraph Handicap—4-3 Wheriko 1, 3-4 Autopay 2, Silver Streak 3. Won by a length and a-lialf; one. Lucidus was fourth. Time I.lls. Anniversary Handicap—2-2 Fracas 1, 1-1 Cherry King 2. 7-7 Aiguille 3. Won i by a. length and a-lialf; two. Cyclonic was fourth.
