LOG CRUSHES WORKER

TE AWAMUTU, January 21

Archibald G. Drummond, aged 55, a married man, was fatally crushed at Smyth Bros, and Bowyer’s sawmill, at Arohana, 25 miles from Te Awanuitu, this morning. The deceased was unloading a large rimu log off a truck on to the mill skids when i t slipped, and before Drummond could jump clear, it bad crushed him, death being instantaneous. He leaves a widow and a. son.
