A FATAL ENDING

GAMEKEEPER KILLED.

Darling the night, in a battle between two poachers and two gamekeepers at Holme, Huntingdonshire, one of the the gamekeepers was shot in the head. The Jpolice later discovered an elaborate rifle, capable of firing shot or bullets and fitted with a silencer and powerful electric torch. Scotland Yard has been 'called in to assist in an extensive search. Hearing muffled reports, the gamekeepers Everett and Parsons, crept into a wood and stalked the poachers who had been frequent visitors. When Parsons shone a torch, Everett heal'd a soft report, and Parsons collapsed with a bullet in the headEverett chased the poachers who escaped by car.
