PEKIN, August 6.

Following an aeroplane reconnaissance, the Central Government’s forces . are now abtivoly';', engaged in rounding up scattered groups of bandits who are menacing Foochow. According to a military communique, the bandits’ main line of communications has been cut.

A Japanes© message says that Re-r-Admiral Niiyama, commandant of the Mako Naval Base ,in the Pescadores, has proceeded by destroyer to Foochow'. ” . 1
