'FRISCO RIOTS
GRAPHIC ACCOUNTS RECEIVED (Per Press Association — Copyright.) i: AUCKLAND, June 9. Graphic Recounts of the Sap Francisco riots were received by the liner Niagara, from a wireless press agency and published in the ship’s news-paper. The last message received on Friday evening stated that troops were maintaining law and order in San Francisco, but there were riots further up the coast. Since then no mention has been made of the situation and it is conjectured that a censorship has been imposed.
Sir James Gunson who returned ia the Niagara said San jfrancisco was practically closed to overseas shipping. Approximately 27,000 men were affected by the strike. There had been a tremendous loss of business.
