THE ,i WESTLAND SUB-UNION The Westland Rugby Sub-Union met last evening, there being present Messrs J. O. Stafford (president), J. L. Menzies, C. Reese, W. H. Reeves, F. McGregor, J. McCallum, D. Breeze, A. Outbush, AY. FI. Stopforth, J. McCleary, S. Ogilvie, D. It. Dowell and E. AV. lice nan. Matches for Saturday were arranged a s follow:—Seniors—Kiwi v Excelsior (A. Outbush); Pirates v Ross at Ross (J. Butlaiul). Juniors—Ross v Kokatahi, at Kokatahi (M. AA'allace); Pirates v School, Cass Square, 3 p.m. (D. Breeze) ; Rovers v Excelsior; at Woodstock (J. McCleary.) It was reported the ltoss-Excelsior junior match last Saturday was postponed on account of illness. The School team was granted permission to play Greymouth Technical on July 14. It was decided that Saturday, July 7, be submitted to the AA r est Coast Union for approval as the date of Dittinan Shield match.
The tender of Mr AV. H. Stopforth for the supply of representative jerseys' was acceptedOn the motion of Mr McCloary it was decided to request the AVest Coast Union to grant a representative fixture to Hokitika, Bush Union or Nelson being the possible alternatives suggested.
