ACCIDENTS

YOUTH KILLED BY CAR (Per Press Association— CopvnQht.) TIMARU, June 19. The death occurred in the hospital to-night of Ivan Smith, aged 18, a resident of Timaru, who was knocked down by a car on Wai-iti Road on Monday night. The driver was J. R. Nirnmo, of Dunedin. G. Elgin, who was walking with Smith at the time of the accident, was knocked -unconscious, but his injuries are not serious.
