ACCIDENTS
FATAL motor accident {Per Preaa Association Gopyrxytii.) NELSON, June 14. Harry Lest, middle-aged son. of the late Philip Best, was killed instantaneously on Appleby main road, as the result of a ear skidding and breaking through a fence into a paddock. Deceased had almost reached home with his wife and family after attending a picture matinee. The other occupants were not seriously injured. A family of six are left. BOY KILLED BY MOTOR VAN INVERCARGILL, June 1? A schoolboy named Graney Butts, aged 13, was killed this morning when he was knocked down by a motor van. The lad was eyefing on a tram track at Waikiwi and was not seen by the driver of the van, which was travelling in the same direction, until he was a short distance ahead. ; The. driver applied the brakes, lwas unable to avoid striking the cyclist, who was killed outright
