Both embarked in , a motor launch bound for Venice, where there were no naval salutes, but airplanes provided an imposing escort. Crowds, shouting “Viva”, greeted Hitler at the Grand Hotel, wherefrom he goes to the Villa Pisanai, as the guest of II Duce at lunch.
