WAGE RESTORATION
AUCKLAND COUNCIL EMPLOYEES (Per Press Association Copyright.) AUCKLAND, May 3. In accordance with a resolution passed by the Birkenhead Borough Council, the- wages of its employees, which were reduced by 10 per cent., have been restored as from April last. FERRY EMPLOYEES’ UNION AUCKLAND, May 3. The members of the Ferry Employees’ Union Are to receive a 5 per cent, increase of wages, -according to an -agreement between the directors of the Devonport Steam Ferry Company and the -Union. The members of the Union were subjected to two cuts, one of IQfper cent, and another of 5 per cent; ?*:.
