MAN HAS NAB ROW ESCAPE

Two men, 11. Streeter, contractor, of Christchurch, and R. G. McKie, carpenter, of Christchurch, had a narrow escape when a house at Dunsanclel they were engaged in altering |.u:;d renovating was burned down. The house was the property of 11. Holli iigs, and was insured' for £250. At about 5.30 McKie heard the fire. Both men gathered their personal effects and hastily went out of the bouse. Streeter returned for some money lio had left, and was over|oome by smoke and heat. McKio then broke u window, and lie dragged out Streeter, who soon recovered.
