OBITUARY

WELL KNOWN TARANAKI MAN. (Per Press Association. —Copyright.) NEW PLYMOUTH, March 16. The death occurred at Auckland this morning of Mr J. S. Connett,. aged 64, chairman of the Taranaki County, and a prominent figure in public life in North Taranaki. Fie was a director of the Farmers’ Fertiliser Coy., chairman of the North Committee of the Egmont National Park Board, president of the Taranaki Local Bodies’ Association, and. prominent in the Taranaki Agricultural Society activities, chairman of the Taranaki County for the last nineteen years. He is survived by his daughter Mrs R.. L. Barclay, of Waitara. The late Mr Connett’s (father w;ys a pioneer settler in the Bell Block district.
