COMMITTEE HEARS EVIDENCE WELLINGTON, March 15. Evidence was heard to-day by the Parliamentary Cbmmitte appointed to carry, out an investigation into the film industry. Mr A. Harris, M.P. for Waitemata, presided. Counsel representing the New Zealand film exchanges addressed the committee of the New Zealand Motion Picture Exhibitors’ Association. Crossexamination was in progress when the committee adjourned in the late afternoon. The questioning of witnesses will hold any sittings outside Wellington, the Government being ol opinion that all the' information and data required under the order of reference can be obtained here.
