FRENCH MONSTER

DISCOVERY MADE ON BEACH. PARIS, March 12. The “Loch Ness Monster” has faded oiit of the picture, but the little port of Querqueville, near Cherbourg, has come to the front with a story of a mysterious deep-sea monster that has been washed up on the beach near there. The creature, which is 2oft long, and of a blue-grey colour, has two fins on : its sides, and one oil. the back, and has a small head on a- neck 3ft long. It is said to belong to a hitherto unknown genus. The carcase will be examined by scientists.
