WELLINGTON, November 10.
Cable advice from Mr Ulm that lie intends crossing the Tasman Sea in the “Faith of /Australia” on November 20th has been received. A Vacuum Oil Coy. messages states that the landing place has yet been decided. Ulm and, liis monoplane will thus arrive in New Zealand during the National Confidence Carnival, and efforts are being made to persuade him to land at Rongotai at the conclusion of his flight. Should these endeavours be successful it will be the first trans-Tasman flight t 0 end at Wellington, although when Guy L. Menzies made his solo flight in 19.31 to South Westland, he (loft 'Sydney with the or making his landing at Rongotai.
FOUR. KILLED IN PLANE SMASH
(Received this day at 10.30 a.m.) PORTLAND (Oregan), November 10. Three passengers and the pilot were burned to death, and five passengers seriously injured when a passenger aeroplane crashed on the mountainside in dense fog.
