A purse of £75, subscribed ‘by New Zealand motorists, for Constable Stewart, of Newton Stat on, who is still in the Auckland Hospital, suffei'ng from an injury received when attempting to 'arrest the driver of a stolen, motor car on September 19, was increased to £IOO, by a resolution passed at the annual meeting of the Auckland AutomoU le Association.
