OBITUARY

The death occurred at his residence, Greymouth, yesterday of Mr Francis William Badger, aged 70 years. The deceased, who was a native <of Dun-cdi'-i, came to the West Coast in his •early 4ys with his parents, who settled at Greymouth. In his day, the

deceased was probably the best rifle shot on the Coast. He was a keen

He was closely associated with the work of the Presbyterian Church throughout his life. He is survived iby two sisters, Miss Badger (Greymouth) and Mrs Clements (Melbourne). MRS E. M. BOUCHER. It is with deep regret that we record the death of one of our oldest residents, Mrs E. M. Boucher of Kanieri. which took place this morning about 11 o’clock. Deceased, who was a native of Monoccani, Cornwall, [England, was born in May 1834, and was therefore in her 100;h year. She came put to Victoria in the early days where she met her husband aind married. They came to New Zealand in 1871 and settled in Kanieri whei'e the deceased has resided ever since, loved and esteemed by a wide circle of friends. She dost her help mate many years .acm. Deceased was of a. very gentle disposition and took a very keen interest in Me.E dist Church affairs j She leaves a family of two daughters | (Miss L. Boucher of Kanieri, ;und Mrs M. G. Honey of South Beach, Greymouth) and two sons (Mr William j Boucher of Greymouth and Mr Richard , Boucher of Kanieri). Deep sympathy J will be extended to the memb&r lS of i the family, the community being the poorer for the passing of a most worthy and highly respected resident. 1
