“SMILIN’ THROUGH.”
Patrons of tire. Princess Theatre will, to-night witness what is now the screen rage of Sydney—Norma Shearer in .“Smilin’ Through,” with Jfredrio March, Leslie Howard, 0. P. Heggie and even more favourites.
“Smilin’ Through” i, s based on the famous play, and Norma . Shearer has the niuch coveted dual role of Moonyeen and Kathleen Sheridan. It is said to be a triumph, for Norma Shearer and for the motion picture world. Fredric March, who plays opposite Miss Shearer, also has a dual role—Jeremy Way no and Kenneth. Wayne, the former’s sou. Another characterisation gem is that of Sir John Cartaret, played by 'Leslie Howard, in which, re.le he enacts the same man throughout three generations. Q. "P. Heggie, Ralph Forbes, Beryi Mercer, David Torrence, Margaret Seddon, Forrester Harvey and Cora Sue Collins are also ,in the big cast. The story of this sweet and poignant romance is well known and the picturisation is reputed to be even better than the, stage presentation or its silent Predecessor, which starred Nofrma Talmadge.
