In the House of Representatives yesterday afternoon, the Land and Income Tax (annual) Bill was introduced bv the Governor Gereral’s message. * The Prime Minister (the Hon. G. W. Forbes, explained that it was necessary that the Bill should be passed before next day. The Hon J. G. Coates explained'that the Bill simply renewed l*st years taxes and. contained r.o new provisions. The Bill was put througt all stages and passed without debate.
