THE WESTLAND COMMITTEE. BUSINESS AT ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Westland Incensing Committee was held .at noon to-day when there were present Messrs W. Meldrum (chairman), F. McGregor, It. Chesternian, Kyle, Goodall and Kent. The customary long list of applications was dealt with } and with feiy exceptions, all were granted, two being adjourned for three months and s two withdrawn.

No objections of a serious nature were offered by the police, while fn the majority of cases recommendations were made by the Health Department, the grants being provisional upon their being complied with. The Health Department’s recommendations dealt principally with lavatory arrangements, and sink pipes and connections.
