TO-DAY \S REPORT

A shallow depression which was centred in the north Tasman yesterday has since deepened and moved east of Cape Marie van Diemen. Another,deep depression, probably also of cyclonic form cover 6 l£ outh eastern Australia. The forecast js for moderate easterly winds gradually tending to northerly and freshening. Weather cloudy to overcast but otherwise fair for the present. Seas moderate.

A Union Company's steamer is due at Greymouth about the first week in June, to load timber for Sydney and Newcastle. A Union Company steamer is due at Greymouth the second week in June to 1 load timber for Melbourne and Adelaide.
