TO-DAY \S REPORT

A shallow depression which was centred in the north Tasman yesterday has since deepened and moved east of Cape Marie van Diemen. Another,deep depression, probably also of cyclonic form cover 6 l£ outh eastern Australia. The forecast js for moderate easterly winds gradually tending to northerly and freshening. Weather cloudy to overcast but otherwise fair for the present. Seas moderate.

The Gael arrived at ]. o’clock today from Wellington.

UNION COMPANY’S LINE. The Raima leaves Greymouth to-day for .'Wellington coal laden. (The Raima! I claves Lyttelton at noon to-day for Greymouth to load cad for Wellington. The Riwitea is due at Greymouth tir-day From Auckland to load coal for New Plymouth and Auckland, completino- at Westport. The Kini-is,.-due at Greymouth today from Now Plymouth to load coal for' Gisborne completing at Westport with coal for Wellington. A Union Company's steamer is due at Greymouth about the first week in June, to load timber for Sydney and Newcastle. A Union Company steamer is due at Greymouth the second week in June to 1 load timber for Melbourne and Adelaide.
