The Commonwealth Government hag instructed its delegate to the International Labour Coherence to insist that the proposed forty hour week is not practicable in Australia unless the leading nations of the world, whose produtes compete with Australian pro-, ducts, take similar action; but that, if these nations agree to uniform reduced standard hours, Australia will he ready to join in an international agreement to that effect.
