WELLINGTON, May 22.
Only one farm in the affected area of Johnsonville remained to be dealt with to-day, and the Director General of Agriculture, Mr Reakes, said that it was hoped to complete the destruction of all of tile deceased and contact pigs in that .area* to-day, or at the latest, to-morrow.
Following the discovery' of two dpacl pigs on the, foreshore at Point Howard, one of which was discovered to be infected, a third nig was seen aflio.it from the Eastbourne ferry steamer. It had been secured, land is being examined, but the report is not yet available. .Symptoms of a suspicious nature in a- pig have been reported from Nai Nni, north of Lower Hutt, but tlie disease, has not definitely been proved to exist there,
