LABOUR CONFERENCE
A NEW ORGANISATION
A conference of representatives of Labour Unions and Labour Organisations was held in the Lyceum Hall Giieymouth, on Saturday • aftern'oon last. Over thirty delegates, representing twenty-one organisations were present. It was resolved :
That aii organisation known as the Workers and Labour Movement Protection Association be formed.
That the subscription of Unions or other Labour bodies be 2s Gd per half year.
That the Officers of the Organisation be President, Vice President and Secretary ; all positions being honorary. Thao it be the officers’ duty to hand oil to the affiliations information supplied by any members; and particularly tha’4 ’ information relating to the employing of non-unionists and the boycotting 0 f workers’ activities. That a conference similar to the present one be called every half-year. The following officers were elected : President, Mr P. O’Earrell (Tailors’ Union); Vice-President, Mr G. E. English (State Miners’ Union); Secretary, Miss M. Anderson (Grey Labour Party). 1 It was resolved to hold the next conference six months hence. „
