CANADIAN PROPOSALS
VANCOUVER, May 12
The following resolution was passed to-night at the annual meeting of the British Columba division of the Canadain manufacturers’ association : ‘‘That, in the interest of Canadian dairy producers, as well as the Canadian export trade, the head office of the Association be requested to approach thy Federal Government with a view of arranging a conference between a representative of each of the Canadian’ dairy interests and the exporting interests on the one hand, and similar representatives of New Zealand on the other hand ; the purpose of this conference (which, it is suggested, should take place in Now Zealand) to lie the effecting of an arrangement, if possible, under wliiclra guarantee could bo given by the Canadian Government
